Phil Hudson is currently the tech lead in the School of Design and a founding member of Captivate Heritage Laboratory at the University of Greenwich.
His research focuses on traditional and emerging 3D scanning processes to capture and explore spaces, sites, and shapes, examining and re-presenting their features, details, and hidden properties. By employing software techniques to apply atmosphere, lighting, and view effects, along with generative AI training methods to extrapolate beyond the known, his work aims to create immersive and engaging environments and intriguing hypothetical deformations of models.
