Francis is an artist and current Design Studio Manager at the University of Greenwich. He teaches Life Drawing and has guest taught on the ‘Side Hustle’ module in Media and Communication. He is a practicing artist based in London. He graduated his BA in Sculpture at Camberwell College of Art and has an MFA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art in 2018. He is currently completing his PGCert at the University of Greenwich. He has shown internationally and has been an artist in residence in Kaunas, Lithuania and UT Austin, Texas.
Francis’ current research critically engages with the intersections of memory, oral histories, and speculative design. Through sculptural and material forms, he explores imagined reconstructions of a past he did not directly experience. A physical manifestation of a fragmented, evolving mythology. These objects function as both artifacts and narrative devices, gesturing toward a lost or deferred future. His mixed European and Asian heritage becomes a generative site, a hybrid terrain from which elements of both cultural lineages emerge. Within this space, modes of magical realism are cultivated, allowing speculative narratives and propositional futures to take shape.
