Maria Korolkova (BA, MA, MPhil (Cantab.), DPhil (Oxon.), SFHEA) is Associate Professor in Media at the School of Design, University of Greenwich, where she also leads Media Portfolio and MA Media and Creative Cultures. She is a researcher-curator, having curated exhibitions and public events, among others, at Centre Pompidou and the Barbican.
Maria’s research explores the socio-cultural and spatial dimensions of digital technologies and its implications for humanity. She is the co-author of Miscommunications: Errors, Mistakes, Media (2022), which reflects her ongoing interest in theories and histories of mistakes, miscommunications, and displacement. She is particularly interested in interdisciplinary enquiries.
