Collective Landscape Futures is a series of interdisciplinary roundtable discussions that critically interrogate the role of design practices in perpetuating systems of injustice, in order to explore how we can live, connect and share better. Each roundtable involves students, recent graduates, tutors and external guests and is held in front of a small audience. In bringing these people together we want to acknowledge that we all have different expertise, ontologies and priorities for the future. Our multiple identities, framed by the corporeal categories of gender, ethnicity, access, sexuality or our social, political and economic realities, influence how we discuss and design space.
Each roundtable is centred on a particular topic that initiates a discourse on how we can develop our practices upon more equitable trajectories. Collaborators from the New Centre for Spatial and Digital Ecologies are invited to propose topics, invite discussants and co-chair the roundtables. These discussions are open to any discipline that is interested in how we curate the world we live in.
