Min Young Oh is a Lecturer in Animation at the University of Greenwich and a Lecturer at National Film and Television School. Her background is as a professional animation director for several years. She has been won several animation awards, and her animations have been screened at several international film festivals, including 9 Oscar qualifying film festivals. She is currently preparing her PhD on sustainable production for stop-motion animation at the University of Greenwich.
Min’s research aim is finding sustainable methods for stop-motion production. Stop-motion animation still heavily relies upon chemical adhesives and plastics, but productions also produce mixed material waste. This waste is incompatible with global recycling systems and the worldwide movement for carbon neutral production.
