Jane Frances Dunlop is an artist, writer and educator. Her artworks have been exhibited and performed in galleries, performance spaces and cultural institutions around the world. Her writing has appeared in academic journals, art catalogues and magazines. Dunlop holds a PhD from the University of Brighton and is a Lecturer in Digital Media at the University of Greenwich in London, UK.
Her current research, a critical examination of the literal and metaphorical possibilities of vocality as an embodied and conditional data, charts the entangled contradictions of voices coming together - in public assemblies, in historical and contemporary performance and in the proliferation of deep fakes - in order to understand what it means to ‘speak truth’ in the 21st century.
